About us

A Vision

Libyan Women NGO is the Chamber of Commerce Hispanic-Libyan entity dedicated to gender equality, education and the empowerment of the libyan women and girls.

This NGO was born as a result of the warlike situation endured for years by Libyan women, to help overcome the war and the inequalities that it has meant for women and begin a period of reconstruction of the country, as well as claim the place of women in Libya.

We believe that the future is written in feminine and that societies advance the more their women advance.

We are at the side of Libyan women to help them normalize their lives. Our initiatives are aimed at making them aware of their own worth and their fundamental role in society. The aim is that in the near future, they will achieve equal opportunities legally and socially, focusing on six strategic priorities.

The entity works to position gender equality as fundamental to the Sustainable Development Goals, and a more inclusive world.

What we do

MORE WOMEN – We want Libyan women to be aware of their personal worth and influence in society. (EMPOWERMENT)
SURVIVING THE WAR – We serve the most disadvantaged women, where the impact of war has been most devastating. (SHELTER HOUSE)
NEW OPPORTUNITIES IN FEMALE – We are committed to training for labour insertion and self-employment.
WOMEN IN ACTION – We provide an outlet for all their concerns, for this we are creating a community where women contribute knowledge to each other.
WOMEN AND CULTURE – Because we are convinced that culture makes free citizens.
IMPROVING THEIR LIVING CONDITIONS – We promote infrastructure projects that help women to get out of precariousness and improve their basic living conditions.
SUSTAINABILITY – We promote sustainable development in a transversal way in all our actions. We fulfil 14 of the 17 sustainable development objectives of Agenda 2030.
